Borchard is starting the season at AAA, according to Kenny Williams.

I think that will be good for him. Maybe come up midseason.....

 

How cool was Soxfest? I'm very jealous of all of you for being able to attend Sox functions like you were going to the damn movies. The only times I get to see them is when they go to Safeco, and even that I didn't do last year, or if I visit my family in Indiana. You are all very lucky!

yeah i kinda figured he would start off there.... kinda sucks though.. i really think that if hes fed a steady diet of major league pitching he will be better at the plate...............

So if Rowand isn't ready, then we WILL use Harris? What the f*** is wrong with him? Harris has a lot of potential, but I don't want a clog in our lineup hitting .220 and grounding out a ton....he could have an on-base % of about .250! I don't like the idea of having Harris start in CF....I'd much rather have Borchard or someone else.......I think you know who I'm talking about.

but borchard is not ready. in harris i guess we have to suffer with what you said.

If Borchard is not ready, and I highly doubt that he is, then we don't want to bring him up and screw up his head. Let him learn to cut down that swing in AAA. He'll have more success and that will keep his self-confidence in place.

Yeah I have no problem with Joe starting the year in AAA. He was obviously not ready at the end of last year and unless he has progressed a great deal over the offseason I don't think it would be a good idea to just hand him his ticket and have him struggle. Let him get in a groove down in AAA and then call him up.
