I've seen several rumors about Sean Hill going to Toronto and the Sens being interested in Francis, but that was it. Francis stated that he didn't want to leave either and he's a big fan favorite. Wouldn't be the first idiotic move the Canes have made this season.

March 9, 200422 yr I've got a connection up in Toronto - we talked about some things this morning other then the trades, and as a part of the conversation turned to the deadline he told me about Francis, and then he told me that not as concrete are a couple of other pretty big moves. The only one I can share is Francis because it hit the wire.

As I thought, Brian was not happy about the trade - he's hoping it's the same wituation as last year with Greg Wesley. Canes fans on their message boards are really pissed - at the Canes and at Francis for not invoking the no-trade clause as he earlier said he would.
