April 4, 200422 yr If Sox really have to count on Scott S ( I am a reliever dammit ) and Danny W ( Mr. Kerosene ) for very long it is going to kill any chance to win division, hitting will be fine but to score 5 and lose 7-5 with these 2 guys pitching with era's in the 6.00 range and who knows about Jon G in the 3 spot, Sox are going to have to make some kind a deal for another starter or forget it.

So why not score eight and win 8-7?? Hell with pitching and defense...... score some runs!

JG -- started 13 games in 2000 @ 20y.o -- rushed to the majors -- -- started 16 games in 2001 @ 21y.o -- ERA under 4 -- 4th on the team in games started -- started 33 games in 2002 -- posted second best ERA among regular starters -- career high in innings pitched -- Breaks camp as #3 starter -- started 32 games in 2003 -- breaks camp as #3 starter ---------------------------- I don't know what worries you about JG... He's only 24, still has plenty of upside, and alreasy is a proven middle of the rotation guy-- With Ozzie hopefully giving him a little bit longer leash, he should be able to eat up some innings this year, in adition to his 65 GS the last 2 seasons.

I am more concerned about SS and DW, I look for JG in his arbitration eligible year finally to improve off 12-12.
