April 11, 200422 yr i think it was KO. he was saying that last year he thought the sox were good enough to get to and, i think he said this, win the world series. i think the change in manager and total attitude enema will do wonders for this team. they just may surprise the hell out of us. i know i wasnt too sure about the season but i love what i have seen so far.
April 11, 200422 yr I agree, this new attitude and aggressiveness is very very good. I think the Sox will surprise a lot of people if they keep playing this way all year.

That was pretty much the concensus around NY, that we were the team to beat in the Playoffs. I think many of the players on that team were glad to see the Sox falter down the stretch, not becuase they wanted to see them fail, but because they didn't want to have to face them.
April 11, 200422 yr Very true. This baseball chat I frequent occasionaly on AOL has a lot of Yank fans, and for the most part their fans were really scared of us. They respected what we did outside of our divison and against teams above .500. That would've been something to see Buerhle, Colon, and Loaiza as a 1-2-3 in the playoffs w/ our offense. Jerry Manuel.... :fyou
April 11, 200422 yr This is a new team with an entirely different attitude. I can't wait to see how much fun were gonna have all this season.
April 11, 200422 yr This is a new team with an entirely different attitude. I can't wait to see how much fun were gonna have all this season. Very true...I love the Chisox ad campaign this year.... "Meet your 2004 Chicago White Sox." ....and then they show Frank, Mags, Crede, Buerhle, Loaiza... ...next it says...."What's changed?" "Everything."

This is another what-if, but it is kind of scary to think what could have happened had the Sox made the playoffs. And by scary, I mean unbelievable. That team had the s*** to win it all. Coulda, woulda, shoulda...there's a reason JM is unemployed right now.

He was such a s***bag and it feels like a weight has been lifted off the team as a result of him leaving.
April 11, 200422 yr KO was always my favorite sportscaster. He was knowelegeble about all facets of sports and he always had some funny remarks to throw in at what was always the right moment. Who could forget........."From way downtown........BANG!!!!"
