When was the last time a home run champion was on the World Championship team?

im thinking off the top of my head maybe its mike schmidt from philly in 1980???????????

Good answer I looked it up it was Schmidt in 1980.

wow not bad for an old lady.. where did you find that at? you have a link?

Here it is http://www.sportsdatatech.com/baseball/hr_champs.htm. I can ususally remember stuff like that also, but mostly about the Sox going back to the late 50s early 60s. Ask me what I had for breakfast and I can't remember.

lol..... breakfast?? did i even eat that today???? hmmm.... well i was thinking back in my head who had won the batting titles.... some i could remember and some i drew a blank on... the hard thing was trying to put them on the world series team that won.... cause i know some guys like belle on the indians in 95 but the tribe didnt win the ws...and kevin mitchell in 89 for frisco but they didnt win either......mike schmidt won that title a few years though.....one other time in 83 i think and before 80 i believe.....but the phills won the ws in 80 so thats where i made the final connection...........actually it was more of a guess......lol ......anyhow thanks for the link ill have to poke around on there.. it may come in handy sometime huh........

hmmm... iwould have guessed mcgwire whe he won one with oakland
