This is/was a tough game....

But, it is only only one game. And with the way we battled back, it's a bedeficial loss, in a way. I can't think of a way I'd rather lose.

First of all there's three more outs...

Second --- can I get the Daffynition™ for bedeficial?

Fact is: Buerhle let us down. He's supposed to be the ace of this team, and he fell flat on his face. Seven runs in two innings is unacceptable.

Good try, offense. Pitching let us down today, bigtime.

It was meant to read beNeficial.

I'm sure you knew that, but just in case.

And what's funny about that is that the "d" is nowhere near the "n" on the keyboard. I wonder how I did that? :bang

Our bullpen atleast tried. 7 IP, 3 ER. And a gusty ass performance by The Adkins Diet. Too bad we couldn't pull it out in the end but these things happen.

Were all of Buehrle's runs truly earned? On Yahoo, it did say they were all earned, but from how I understood it, Jeter scored due to a Crede throwing error.

Throwing error = unearned run, doesn't it?

To get back on subject here, I am personally not too mad about this loss. Not sure why. I think it is because pitchers will always have bad outings, and the fact that we were down 7-0 and damn near won the game(and had a damn good shot to win the game) is what I like most.

IMO, Maggs getting caught stealing killed us. It's not a bad move in that situation, but that is a high risk-high reward type of scenario, and I usually would not send Maggs in that situation.

However, and maybe someone can further explain this to me...was it that Maggs got caught stealing, or that Carlos swung and missed(or just flat out missed) a hit and run and Maggs was left out to dry? Not being able to watch is a b****.
