April 23, 200421 yr From Rotoworld: Athletics claimed catcher Michael Rivera off waivers from the White Sox. It looks like Tom Wilson may be looking for another team again. There's no room for him, Rivera and Mike Rose at Triple-A Sacramento. Rivera doesn't seem like a great use of a 40-man roster spot at this point. He's a pretty good hitter for a catcher, but he's not strong enough to make up for a mediocre glove.

Hankins may become a very good catcher to backup Olivo in the future, but also adds to his make up with the versatility of playing several other positions. An ultra utility man if you will.
