May 2, 200421 yr I'm listening to the game right now, and the announcer just mentioned that Jeremy Hudson was called up from Kannapolis to replace Jose Espinal who was put on the DL. He also noted that Rick Hummel, Jose Mieses and Ryan Wade are also on the DL.

May 2, 200421 yr Author I agree, although Hudson has been doing pretty good down there in Kannapolis' bullpen, so he might do a good job as well. I'm hoping Espinal will get a promotion when he returns, cause Kris Keller hasn't really shown enough to prove he belongs in AA over Espinal.
May 2, 200421 yr In the press release I got, it didn't mention what was wrong with Espinal. Hudson had been pitching good.
May 2, 200421 yr Their would be, but I took a little break today....couldn't miss the Lakers lose Working on it right now.
May 2, 200421 yr Warthogs Place Espinal on the Disabled List By Jason Gage May 2, 2004 FutureSox.com The Winston Salem Warthogs placed right handed reliever Jose Espinal on the disabled list on Sunday. Espinal had been one of the bright spots of the Hogs pitching staff going 2-0 with a 1.32 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 13.1 innings. Espinal is the fourth Warthog on the disabled list. The others are RHP Rick Hummel, RHP Jose Mieses, and catcher Ryan Wade The Warthogs replaced Espinal with RHP Jeremy Hudson who was promoted from Kannapolis. Hudson had pitched well with the Intimidators, who have a very deep pitching staff, going 0-0 with a 1.74 ERA in 5 games while striking out 5 in 10.1 innings of work.
