Obstacle 1
the one against the brewers today where he collided with andruw jones in the outfield was nasty, it looked way worse than the prior incident because how violently he bounced off jones. at least he looked somewhat alright, although that shoulder will obviously be a problem. Old Socks
It looked like his head hit Jones' thigh. That means concussion.
whitesoxin'
He had a like three injuries, one to his shoulder, something else, and a concusion. He is out 6-8 weeks according to the announcers for TBS. Major loss for the Braves.
SoxAce
Yea, when I saw it, it looked like he hyperextended that shoulder and had a major concussion even though he walked out in his own power..
CSF
From Rotoworld: Marcus Giles has a fractured right collarbone and is expected to miss six to eight weeks. Giles is arguably the Braves' best player, so this is just huge. Nick Green could take over as the regular second baseman, making him a decent pickup in NL-only leagues. He's clearly a better option at the position than Jesse Garcia. However, the real solution here would be for the Braves to go get themselves a quality third baseman and shift Mark DeRosa to second. Unfortunately, the best player available might be Shea Hillenbrand.
