why am i not being able to save images that i view on webpage to my hard drive??I right click and save image as a Jpeg or Gif file but its not showing up anywhere?!?! anyone help? :bang

never heard of that before. go to start menu and do a search for the filenames... :huh

this is the error i recieve when i try to open a saved file from My Recent Documents

 

"The drive or network connection that the shortcut "picture01.lnk" refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again. "

 

 

I f***ing saved it under My Pictures on the harddrive?!?!?

That is weird. I'd just restart the computer and try again. That or the website has some type of download/save protection on the picture, which is a remote possibility.

sounds like you are trying to save the link and not the picture itself...why that is happening, I couldn't tell ya.

sounds like you are doing

 

"save target as..."

 

as opposed to

 

"save picture as..."

 

when you right click.

 

that's what the .lnk extension is telling you.
