May 19, 200421 yr This is a fantasy insider page on Yahoo sports but its funny that nobody knows what Ozzie will do with his lineup on a particular day.. White Sox lineup. We don't know what's going on. Does that answer the question? Seriously, manager Ozzie Guillen has been changing this thing around routinely with little rhyme or reason, usually citing matchups. He sat Joe Crede twice and then dropped him to eighth. Willie Harris has started at second base and center field. Red-hot hitter Juan Uribe batted seventh and played third base in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader, then batted leadoff and played second base for the second game. We have no idea how this thing will settle itself, but here's a guess: Joe Crede at 3B, Jose Valentin at SS, Juan Uribe at 2B and Willie Harris in CF. Aaron Rowand will play center on those days that Crede, Valentin or Uribe takes a day off, such as Valentin vs. LHPs.
May 19, 200421 yr That cannot be a good sign. It's not at all. I understand that he has to shift the lineup around because they are struggling, but it just reminds me too much of Jerry.
May 19, 200421 yr jerry manual jr. You got that right! That was my biggest arguement against Manuel. I hated that we didn't have "starters." It was like Little League. Everybody gets to play.
May 19, 200421 yr I assume Ozzie is trying to find an offense that clicks. My question to Oz...how many times have we used the lineup that put up 11 runs against the Twins since that time?
