May 26, 200421 yr I still find it amazing that the Sox continue to run the commercial with the burglary of the house, and then the burglars find the bobblehead Sox figure, so they leave house with the apology note and the "Go Sox!" written on the note. Now, I don't want to be a baby here, but with all the talk about the fights lately, and the negative image the Sox fans have for being crooks, isn't that commercial just playing into the negative image? I don't cry when I see the commercial, but I just get a little bewildered by the organization for letting a commercial like that air. Maybe they need to make one where they find a Cubs bobblehead and destroy the heck out of the house even more. That could help out the image even more!
May 26, 200421 yr It's not a White Sox commercial..it's a Fox Sports Net commercial. Because I'm not in the Chicago area, I have to watch the MLB Extra Innings sports package to catch Sox games, and it's usually using the other team's affiliate...They have those robbery commercials for every team, not just the Sox.
May 26, 200421 yr Author Ah, cool then, I guess. I haven't seen one for the Cubs. Oh, wait, I don't watch Cubs games. Thanks for the clarification though.
May 26, 200421 yr I haven't seen a Cubs one for the same reason.. But I have seen Rockies, Mets, Red Sox, Indians, Royals, Twins, Devil Rays, and others. They also do the same commercials with the "You really should follow the ____" for every team, where the guy that says "I don't really follow baseball" gets jacked up somehow.

May 27, 200421 yr I just think it's stupid to be honest. No way the organization should allow them to air it though.
