The Chartlote team has several players I never heard of before this year; Paz, Torres, Smith, Bell. Were these guys in our system last year?

The Chartlote team has several players I never heard of before this year; Paz, Torres, Smith, Bell.  Were these guys in our system last year?

Paz and Torres were in season acquisitions. Smith seems to be a AAAA guy. He does pretty well in AAA, but never puts it together in the Majors. He has been in AAA since 96 while spending all of 98 doing pretty well for the D Rays. Other than that he has seen limited time in the Majors and has struggled when given a chance. Bell is a similar case, bouncing around from org. to org.
