Steff
Careful. You'll make someone on this board :puke because you are complaining about people bashing players. I know. I've been "guilty" of increasing the :puke level on the board. ROTFLMAO!!
israel4ever
Repeating!!!! The Sox need to use Kelly Wunsch a lot more than they do, ad for more than 1 batter at a time! Go to Stats, Inc., a see his stats for 2003!
CubKilla
All I'm saying, is get off Koch's ass people. Its ok to actually blame other members of this team. Botch's job is to close games..... whether he has a 1-run lead or a 3 or 4-run lead. He didn't do it today. He's barely been doing it at all this season..... a couple of games notwithstanding. The 1-2-3 9th on 05/18 stands out as Botch's crowning achievement at this moment. When Botch gets a save and 1-2 runs score in, say, a 3-run Sox lead, the Botch Backers say "a save is a save." When Botch blows a 1-run lead, the Botch Backers say "the offense was anemic and didn't score enough runs." Face it. Botch blows and, if this team has postseason aspirations, I don't want to even glance at one Billy Botch in the 9th inning of a Sox 1, 2, or 3 (hell 4!) run lead. hammerhead johnson
Well, when this sort of thing happens in the playoffs, then maybe it will hit home with a lot of people who are backing Koch. Because if you can't close out a 2-1 ace vs ace game, then you have no balls, and I don't want you on my team. It's as simple as that. 14 runners stranded? That's what happens when you're facing an ace. We were lucky to even get that many men on base. I can't blame guys for failing to come through against Mulder. I can blame the closer who gets behind in the count against hitters just about EVERY FREAKING TIME, however.

Billy Goat is better than he was last year, but still not good enough. Get that velocity back up to 97-98 mph, slider up to 90-91 and start buckling people with that curve. THEN....we'll talk. Koch and Konerko owe Sox fans if only as penance for 2003. Rick White, Rios and Daubach are no longer with the organization. Wright is done. Cotts is a rookie. They all get a pass. Kong and Botch don't. They must play at All-Star level and lead this team deep into postseason Simple as that. Btw, Cap.....I actually like Koch. He's a true competitor and a good precence in the clubhouse. His PITCHING on the other hand must improve even more.
hammerhead johnson
"Come back and get him, Billy." That Hawk quote right there pretty much sums up Koch's tenure with the White Sox. His anthem should be that Alice In Chains track "Down In A Hole".

Billy left his home In Tucson, Arizona, For some US Cellular grass. Get back. Get back. Get back to where you once belonged. Get back. Get back. Get back to where you once belonged. Get back, Billy. Get back. Get back. Get back to where you once belonged. Get back. Get back. Get back to where you once belonged. Get back, Billy.
