Curtis Leskanic Released

Featured Replies

IIRC, I remember seeing on the Royals board that he was thinking about retirement and needed arm surgery but wanted to play through it to the end of the season a month or two ago. Then he continued to suck because of the injury and needs surgery. We don't need Leskanic especially since he's damaged goods.

we dont need this bum, we r fine with our bulpen now

He is always been decent nothing spectacular imo.

He was beyond solid from 2000 on up until this season.

This on Leskanic,

O'Dowd also contacted Curtis Leskanic's agent. Leskanic, however, is leaning toward signing with either Florida or Atlanta, both of whom play closer to his Orlando, Fla., home."

no way you give him more than a minor league deal. the 8 run era just is too much, and is not worth the risk of getting stuck with another dead arm during crunch time that you can't move.

This just scrolled through the bottom line that the royals released Leskanic.  His era is awful this year but he was very good last year and he has a great arm.  I would love to see the sox sign him cheap and give him a shot. Thoughts??

Why would we want someone who just got the boot from another team? We aren't in that desperate of a situation yet. Hopefully Munoz steps up or our next option might be Joel Horlen or Gary Peters.
