June 25, 200421 yr First, the talent level on the Sox is terrible right now. If the Sox arent facing a lefty or a running team, Olivo should not be in the lineup. He's clueless against righty pitchers. Also, Rowand leading off is a good idea vs lefties. However, he should be way down in the lineup vs righties. I absolutely hate the idea that KW and Ozzie havent wanted to call up Reed or Borchard in order to give Gload and Timo more time. You play the players that can excel best at that position. If Borchard is not better than Gload is right now, then trade his ass before he's 35 years old. Just look at the talent gap between the Sox and Cubs right now. I hate those f***ers from the northside, but their lineup is 5 times more talented than the Sox is.
June 26, 200421 yr Nice post. Excellent points I feel. You said: I absolutely hate the idea that KW and Ozzie havent wanted to call up Reed or Borchard in order to give Gload and Timo more time. --Me too. You said: If Borchard is not better than Gload is right now, then trade his ass before he's 35 years old. --I agree 100 percent. I mean if he's not better than Gload, why is he still in our organization. How can anybody argue his point about Rowand also? Our talent is down, but I still say with Maggs we are a 10 over .500 team. Without him 10 to 20 below .500. First, the talent level on the Sox is terrible right now.
