June 28, 200421 yr WOW! What a difference a couple of weeks make! I was ready to give up on Cliff Politte, and now he's totally dealin', especially in the past couple of weeks. He's getting out guys like it's his job or something...(ok, so it IS his job)...But I think we need to really give him his props for coming around and giving us exactly what we need out of the bullpen lately! To Cliff Politte...Keep it up, man!
June 28, 200421 yr It's amazing what a little off speed pitch will do for you. Blue Jay fans say he's up and down all year. Hopefully he's passed that.
June 28, 200421 yr Yeah, he has been pitching well and hopefully he can continue and take this into the Minn. series if the Sox have a 1 or 2 run lead.
June 28, 200421 yr he's always been up and down. the thing is, when he's on, use the f*** out of him. The main thing for him to is to use that slider, which is pretty good, and throw inside from time to time. the other day, when he got beat, he wasn't throwing fine, he was just throwing outside pitch after outside pitch ... very predictable, fastball or not.
