Carlos Lee Trade?

However, I agree with whitesox247.  I have a feeling that Lee is going to be something special, and we already know that MB is something special who is only going to get better with experience.  Pujols and Morris are good, but I'll take Lee and Mark over them.

f***ing right!

If you want old....a guy that is very close to being 40, or older.

:fyou

some day it will be you... :nono

Don't get me wrong here....if you are not a sports player, and you are 40, you are still in your prime.

But if you play sports from when you are about 12 every year till about age 40....and you really play a lot from ages 18-36....you're body is going to be yelling at you.

But you're right...I will be there someday. Hopefully, it doesn't happen for about 25 years! ;) :D

the top male tips for the years 40 and over:

keep you hair; mine is all gray and blash leftover faded once dark brown, but the hair is all there

stay in shape - I do aerobics, yoga pilates, weights - a flat stomach at 40+ makes you a man above men. And who do I aerobics with while the guys are grunting with sweaty guys in the weight rooms? I am in the aerobics room, bright lights, women in spandex, getting sweaty with women, and they know that I can keep the beat, take instructions from a woman, and last for an hour. And because we are all in sweaty clothes and they in spandex, there are no surprises body wise later on. And evey class ends with my going out with 2-5 women - not a bad thing, my man. Start the aerobic now - great erercise and where the women are.

This is usually very expensive advice but it is yours free, South dakota friend! Just take me to that mineral springs pool next time I am in Custer.

I think I'd have to pull the trigger on that proposed deal. But, it ain't gonna happen.

Helll yes

well this might shock you CW but because of my recent physical problems ive stumbled into tai-chi....do it twice a week now for an hour as part of my therapy...pretty cool

Pujo is probably as untradable for the Cards as Maggs is for us.

I bet you love it too - it is pretty cool -

cw....I might have to consider that. I'll probably just lift for now....but if I need to get in shape, it'd either be that or jogging. I'd be fine with both....but seeing women....that's nice.

if you are going to lift, do yoga or pilates or both as well - will strengthen the muscles you are working in and give you the definition you want while adding flexibility and strength in muscles that weights cannot reach - try it 3 times in one week and you will see the results

Just 3 times and I'll see results? Where do you find info on this stuff?

I do it.

I am certified in group exericise and going for other certifcations soon.

Well, I mean, I'm not positive that there are yoga classes in Pierre for teens....there may be, but I'm not positive.

Do you think that you could find info on the internet for this kind of stuff? Because if I got flexibility and got stronger....that'd be good because that would help me a lot for baseball.

you could probably find a pilates video tape at most video stores or book stores - it will be good enough for a start. You dont need equipment, just your floor, so if you are picking blindly, get one with no equipment on the cover.

It would be better to do a class and not sure what is offered your way - around here it is offered in gym clubs or wellness centers. But if you don't do a class, the video tapes will work. The key is 3 times every week for about 30 minutes. (The tapes I have have 32 minute routines; the classes that I do are 45 minutes.)

For you being a young stud jock I'd suggest you try the pilates first. After a few weeks pick up an intro yoga video tape, and work it in. You will see results. And with pilates and yoga, your flexibility and core strength will go up a lot and the core strength thing gives you that hard body feel and look (as well as reality) that will drive the women crazy and make you the envy of your friends.

I mix in weights, aerobics, and yoga/pilates every week, best thing I have done.

I'll see what I can find the next time I go out....hopefully something.

Thanks for the tips!

that is hard core stuff - the tapes I got are from a Wal Mart type store and run like $9.99 - there is even a Yoga for Dummies and Pilates for Dummies which will work fine the first few months

That link is faulty for me right now...but with you saying it's hardcore stuff, I am not sure I wanna try it right now.

I figure I'll just go to Wal-Mart and find something there....$10 is pretty cheap, and if I get results like that, than it will work well.

Just tried the link again, and it worked this time....I'll probably bookmark that page and come back for when I need to.

good luck and let me know how it goes -

if CLee tried some yoga, maybe HSC wouldn't think he was a lawn jockey!

I rally don't know why more athletes don't try this stuff - muscles are no good if you can't move them - flexibility, stretching, and core strength are so essential to performance.
