July 8, 200421 yr Is anyone going? Has anyone seen any of the trailers? I saw a yellow Busch series trailer but we were going in opposite directions on the tri-state so I couldn't tell whose it was. The last few years Brian used to see many of the trucks, even JB's once. It was the show car rather than a race car though. He saw (Brian next to the Citgo 99 is up in my office) the race car and actually got to check the engine out (have pics of that too) and everything.
July 8, 200421 yr I have softball on the weekends. I'll have to wait until I retire from softball before I can go to any races. I used to see a lot of the trailers when I worked as a truck driver and frequented I 57. Are you headed there this weekend?
July 8, 200421 yr In 2000 I went to daytona and got the pit passes - really cool stuff. The race was boring though. That was the year before DE crashed.

I used to see a lot of the trailers when I worked as a truck driver and frequented I 57. Are you headed there this weekend? I wish. It figures that I get offered tickets when I can't take them and don't get offered when I can. I'd even take Busch tickets as Burton is running the Penzoil #9 car there.

July 8, 200421 yr it sucks being pretty close to the track but not being able to go... And you get to listen to it all weekend? Constant reminder!
July 8, 200421 yr I can see TMS (Texas Motor Speedway) from where our new house is. If I go on the roof, maybe I can listen to the race.
July 8, 200421 yr The hell with all you people. You get these awesome tracks like Chicagoland and Texas and im stuck with Pocono.

July 8, 200421 yr I live 5 minutes from the race track. So my hometown gets flooded with people buying up beer (which is nice because they leave the good stuff like Bass, Guinness and Pilsner Urquell and take Milwaukee's Best and other piss) and holding me hostage for the weekend since they shut down roads and it is impossible to leave due to traffic/shut down roads. Needless to say, I don't like the races all that much.

July 8, 200421 yr I can't be there so I'm going to drive around the block turning left while listening to the race for four hours. I figure, I'll just recreate the event.
July 9, 200421 yr I can't be there so I'm going to drive around the block turning left while listening to the race for four hours. I figure, I'll just recreate the event. And it starts. :headshake
July 9, 200421 yr If only it was as easy at just turning left Don't bite on that. He just wants to change a nice conversation between NASCAR fans and turn it into an athlete/non athlete - sport/non sport debate. He just wants to hijack the thread.
July 9, 200421 yr The hell with all you people. You get these awesome tracks like Chicagoland and Texas and im stuck with Pocono. Oh yeah, well the closest one to me is Loudon.
July 9, 200421 yr Actually, I was just making a joke. I'd never debate what is a sport and what isn't, I'm too busy training for next year's Hot Dog Eating contest at Coney Island. That Japanese dude is goin down!

July 9, 200421 yr If there is one track i hate its Loudon. That track just has something about it I dont like.

July 9, 200421 yr Kasey Kahne is supposed to be throwing out the first pitch at the Sox game tonight but might not make it because qualifying is running late. Said maybe he will show up late though.
