Isn't it always 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3.....? Or do records take over?

Teams from the same division can't play each other in the first round. So that's why it's not exactly 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3. If the Wild Card comes out of the AL West, we play the AL West Champ and the Yanks would play the Wild Card.
