July 14, 200421 yr I don't know if this is elsewhere, but i have to mention this since Boers and Bernstein have talked about it for like half the show, and they keep playing her rendition from last night. It was horrid. She said such things as "the lam parts we watch" and "bright stripes and bright stars" among other things. She also sounded like pure crap. The anthem is not supposed to be sung in the fashion she used, and not knowing the words is just flat out inexcusable.

July 14, 200421 yr I wish I'd have heard it. I think people take the national way to seriously. The U.S. one souded bad but who's life does that really affect? I quite like the Canadian anthem but I'd be lying if I said the song really moves me. I cry when I hear it playing when Canada wins a major hockey championship, but it sure as s*** isn't because of the song itself.

July 14, 200421 yr I thought it was horrid too and I only saw the very end of it. Of course, I have hated that girl's singing since the first time I heard her. The singer, by the way, was Fantasia Barrino who is the girl who won American Idol 3.
