July 29, 200421 yr If in the ninth inning Joe Borchard had popped one up to right field, we would still be the same s***ty team, only we would be 1.5 back instead of 3.5 back, but all this s*** wouldn't be happening today. Alot more people would still like the team's chances, just because a guy flew out as opposed to hitting a hard groundball. We'd be the same team with the same injury challenges as we are now faced with. Is everyone really concerned with that extra 2 games. Sure it sucks, but i it that important?
July 29, 200421 yr GET WITH IT MAN! DON'T YOU REALIZE? OUR SEASON IS OVER! WE'RE DOOMED! DOOMED, I TELL YOU! DOOMED!!!!
July 29, 200421 yr Is everyone really concerned with that extra 2 games. Sure it sucks, but i it that important? If we lose the division by 1 game, it is. I agree though. It's nothing big right now. Go out and win the next 5-10 series, and you'll be leading the division by 3-5 games going into September.
July 29, 200421 yr I was hoping for a semi-deep sac fly like you wouldn't believe. It would've been a golden opportunity for us to not only win the game, but send the Twinkies out of town with a shot to Blanco just like the one Hunter delivered to Burke. I don't think Crede has the stones to have pulled that off though.
July 29, 200421 yr I wish the rookie woulda taken a pitch, but I guess it could have easily been a single. He needed to uppercut and loft a fly ball. I'd like to hear Hawk's call and see if he wished he'd taken a pitch or if it didn't matter.
July 29, 200421 yr Author If we lose the division by 1 game, it is. Of course, but if we lose it by one ANY game that we lost this season would have made the difference. In July, I don't think we can fret too much over those two games.
