If you had the chance, would you trade the Sox last 2 seasons for the A's last 2 seasons?

This is a tough one, the A's made the playoffs the last 2 seasons, but got the first round boot in 5 games games, and in 2000. In 2001 they had that insane 2nd half run, and in 2002 had the 20 game winning streak, but in turn setting the fans standards for the post season very high, only to suffer HUGE dissapointments. We all know how the Sox last 2 went...

I'd always prefer my team be competitive and lose as opposed to being huge underachievers.

The choice is easy -- the A's past 2 seasons

Had we had the A's past two seasons....we would have played the Angels in the first round this past year, not the Twins, and could have possibly slugged our way to the ALCS. I'll just assume that's not what you meant.

Yeah....I'd rather have constant 100+ win seasons and then lose in the first round rather than having 1 year where we make it to the postseason and then play .500 baseball every other year(or near that).

Why not go to the playoffs. Even if you lose at least you got there, its a lot closer to the Series then being out of the playoffs.

I'm not sure I'm understanding the question...You'd be INSANE to not take the A's seasons. They were PHENOMENAL both seasons...while we were just out of it. I'd take playoff disappointments over season-long disappointments anyday.

As much as I'd like to have those two amazing seasons the A's did, I'd say no. I know, I sound like a crazy mother f***er, and I am. No matter how good a team did, I would always stick to what the White Sox did. I wouldn't necessarily be happy with the outcome, but it would be a great feeling knowing where are home town heros got us. As long as they don't do as bad as the Scrubs did last year ( :P ), I'm happy with our Chicago White Sox :headbang !

We're all proud of our Sox. But I think the question was in the perceptive that the Sox did what the A's did in their own uniforms. So why the hell would anyone not want better seasons for the White Sox?

id do anything to give back the last 2 seasons we have had .... wish we could get back 2000............that would be ideal.........

The heartbreak of losing those two series would be rough. But having the Sox play like the A's did the past two years would have made for a couple of fun summers at (what was then) Comiskey. We also might have filled the coffers a little bit, and we could have added more to this years team. Add another $10 million worth of talent to the payroll.
