News and Notes Sep 8 There are reports that the Bears are interested in trading for McCardell, according to the Tampa Tribune. RotoWire Recommends: According to the report, McCardell, who's been a contract holdout for the entire preseason, would fill a spot vacated by Marty Booker, who was traded to Miami for defensive lineman Adewale Ogunleye. Last week, Kansas City and Baltimore were rumored to be interested in McCardell. McCardell's agent refused to either confirm or deny the current rumor involving Chicago.
