Arizona Fall League

Featured Replies

Didn't know there was this many going;

The Sox will have 35 prospects participating in the Arizona Fall League, including pitchers Gio Gonzalez, Sean Tracey and Wes Whisler, infielders Josh Fields and Robert Valido, and outfielders Ryan Sweeney and Mike Spidale (Nazareth Academy).

That almost has to be a typo...

They arent participating in the AFL...rather the White Sox Instructional league based in Tucson...

Because each team is only give 5 invites to the Ariz. fall league

Yeah, that sounds like the Arizona Instructional League maybe.

As for the AFL mlb.com has a nice page on it including pieces and interviews with Dennis Ulacia and Brian Anderson. AFL

everybody gets SIX players in the Arizona fall league.

Those other guys will be in Tucson, working out and getting individual instruction.

Imagine they play a few intrasquad games.

But there's no way they have 35 guys in the AFL.

bad info.
