REDMOND - A teenager who had been missing for eight days before being found alive in a wrecked car was in serious condition Monday.

Laura Hatch, 17, last seen at a party Oct. 2, was found Sunday in her 1996 Toyota Camry about 200 feet below a road in Redmond, a suburb east of Seattle, King County sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart said Monday.

Hatch was in serious condition in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She was being treated for dehydration, a blood clot on the brain, and broken bones in her face, hospital spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hanson said Monday.
