I just realized something watch the Red Sox win

A light has come on. The cobwebs have been cleared away.

A realization has occured.

We as White Sox fans accept mediocrity.

That's why we will NEVER win the World Series.

65 million dollars will NOT win a title in today's baseball.

No more talk of budgets and "I don't think we can afford him" bullcrap.

The MLB today is all about the "Go big or go home" mentality. The Sox rarely go big, so they always go home.

So, until the financial misers that run the franchise change their mind, we will be watching the CUBS win their 1st World Series in 90+ years before the White Sox will even SNIFF the playoffs again.

The time has come to get serious Mr. Reinsdorf.

Sell the Bulls and put your money into the White Sox. Otherwise, you will NEVER have the full support of the fans of this team.

Normally, I would agree. But the Marlins won in '03 on less than $65 million. If JR isn't going to spend the $$$ on players, then he better well spend it on the best GM and scouts $$$ can buy. I'm sick of this BS with this ballclub.

s*** OR GET OFF THE POT REINSDORF

You have to spend a lot of money on something...be it players or front office men(or in some cases, both).

It's cheaper to spend a lot of money on the front office...yet JR apparently fails to realize this, even after watching the Twins, who have done it, b****slap us 4 straight years(though the Indians got the best of them in 01).

2005 is do or die. s*** or get off the pot is right, because you will not get to sit on the pot for a long f***ing time.

Teams always mimic the team that won the championship last season. THe fact is that it doesn't work. There is no set way to win it, you've got your Red Sox, Marlins, Angels, Yankees and so on. It doesn't matter what type of team you throw out there. In the end, to win it, you have to have a hell of a team, a lot of god damn luck and more heart than imaginable. Since 1917, the White Sox haven't had it. Money doesn't win championships. Ask Steinbrinner.

So, the White Sox should put a slugging, poor fielding team out there for 2005. :headbang

Ummmmm. Didn't we try that in 01 through 04?

The plans from 1918-2000 didn't work either. What's your point?

As I said, the White Sox haven't had it. Luck, that is.
