March 26, 200323 yr He was sent down because he isn't ready. He needed to pitch good in spring training and got shelled, so he still has more to work on.
March 27, 200323 yr best thing for him at this time, he'll get much more work there than as our major league #5, and we will see him pitch in the bigs this year. -no doubt.

March 27, 200323 yr Did Rauch make the team??? I hope he doesn't...get rid of Paul and Rauch. I don't want to get rid of Rauch. He obviously has a lot of upside....you don't get minor league player of the year if you are a bum. However, he is getting a little older....and more job security could do him well, and consistent pitching time as well. He'd have to either make the team as the #4 starter out of ST or we would have to have a schedule favoring us. At this point....I'm not sure either of those will happen within the next couple years.
March 27, 200323 yr He certainly has enough of an up side that we shoudn't give up on him. I think he'll be with Sox at some point this season.
