It sounds like best case scenario is that he will be ready for the beginning of the season.  Worst case is another month to six weeks past that point.  IMO when you are talking about a 270ish pound guy with foot/ankle problems, it is extremely optimistic to think he will be on the short end of that scale.

He's shown in the past that he's not half the player he is healthy, when coming back from injury. He takes time to heal... I hate to say it, but I just don't see him posting a season with a BA anywhere near .300. His strikeouts will be up, and his walks down too. It's just what's happened in the past.
