I don't care if it looks like Wrigley Field...I'm just glad they're staying in Indiana.

I think they could use the cold to their advantage, considering their division, but my friend (Colt fan) argues that:

1. The fanbase isn't loyal enough to sit in the rain and cold

2. If the RCA dome was torn down, they'd have to honor their contract with the NCAA (The city that is)... don't know much about the contract

3. The team isn't built well for the snow (which I think is a weak argument)

they're not going to upgrade the defense.

they'll probably wind up franchising edge and losing wayne next season while drafting all defense.

very stupid imo.

i read somewhere that almost 70% (68 to be exact) of their cap was spent on offensive players before this signing....that's crazy.

lot's of playoffs and probowls for dem colts but no ring w/o the D!

Agreed. Someone in Indy forgot that it's defense that wins championships.

Indy's supposed to host the Final Four every 5 years until 2039.

Conseco Fieldhouse is a much better basketball venue anyways, though I doubt it holds near as many people.

The NCAA will only play in the huge facilities anymore. Conseco's capacity is under 20,000, which is now too small for a final 4.

Yeah, Conseco's nice, but not nice enough for the NCAA. The NCAA actually had some say in the design of the new Colts stadium, which is said to be ready by 2008.

Hey Greaser, what part of downtown are they wanting to build in?

A block south of the RCA Dome.

I like that design a lot. I've only been there 3 times, but I've always liked Conseco, which the brick reminds me of. Isn't HKS the company that did the redesigns at the Cell?

Yeah, it does have a similar look to what Conseco looks like. That definitely should be cool. I don't really know if HKS did the Cell or not; someone else would probably know. However, looking at those renderings, I bet it's probably the same people.

Yeah, HKS did the Cell renovations.
