Anyone want to refresh my memory?? tried to sneak Wing passed waivers because he was hurt thinking he wouldn't get picked up but Texas did; they took Rudy off the 40 man to make more room on the 40 and Texas grabbed him.
December 10, 200421 yr They didn't get "let go". They were taken off the 40-man roster. They had to pass through waivers... Sox didn't think Wing would get taken, because of his injury. Yan, well, he was taking up space. The rangers picked them both up because they remembered them from scouting the system during the Carl everett deal.
December 10, 200421 yr I should note that the 40-man is full now. Hermanson and Dye make 40 -- Any signing before the Rule 5 Draft this weekend would mean that one of those players protected would be available.
