January 6, 200521 yr This new version of the board is a little bigger then the old version so were making some changes to clear the way for this to work very smoothly. Were also checking on some bugs that are causing a glitch in the mysql and forcing it to stick in a sense and eventually time out the server (probably a horrible explanation). We may be wrong and it could of been caused by another site, but were gonna check anyway and I just want to warn you that you may see an outage or two tomorrow until its fixed. Bear with us though
January 6, 200521 yr I'm not gonna bore the crap out of you all, but in reviewing the logs, it looks like there may have been a few sessions that got hung up from the upgrade that have been sitting there for a while. When that happens, the memory slowly gets hit until it locks up. It looks like that might have happened, but I am most likely going to get the memory upgraded anyway, because this new version is a lot more memory intensive then the old version. There may be a downtime associated with that. Will of course keep you posted! Kap
January 6, 200521 yr QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 09:08 AM) Board run slow. Ohhh, boy read card good. Couldn't help myself, it just reminded me of the Simpsons for some reason.

January 6, 200521 yr Seriously, though since we bounced the server last night it is running a lot better - or is it just me?

January 6, 200521 yr Kap or Jason, where exactly is the server anyways? And what kind of system is it running on? I've always been curious.
January 6, 200521 yr Author Kap can give you a bit better info than I can. But its located in Indiana and runs on a Linux platform. I don't remember the specifics in terms of clock speed, bandwith capabilities, and memory.
