I haven't seen an official transaction on Jamie Burke since he was designated for assignment last Friday. The waiver period has certainly expired and, not seeing a claim, I assume he got through, plus I did not see anything about him electing free agency.

 

Yet, he's still all over the SoxFest schedule. Did I miss something?

 

I don't think Ben Davis is necessarily a roster lock, despite his contract, unless he hits. Jamie's versatility in the field and ability against LHP is a hell of an asset; Davis could be moved.
