February 1, 200521 yr Earlier today on the radio I heard a repeat of the Jerry Hairston Jr. interview, where he openly admitted he grew up a White Sox fan and didn't like to see the Sox lose, as his grandfather and father both played for the Sox, and his father is currently part of the Sox organization. He of course said he is now loyal to the Cubs, but I still found it nice of him to admit who rules. Not sure if anyone mentioned this or not.
February 1, 200521 yr He was pretty funny actually. At the end of his interview he sadi something along the lines of the fact that he cant wait to get into the clubhouse and play his boombox and dance.
February 1, 200521 yr I hope he becomes their starting LF and he has success as a leadoff hitter. He's seems like a good guy and he deserves it.
February 1, 200521 yr QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) Naperville pride. Hell Yeah Naperville. Never been so proud to be a Napervillian!

Maggs got drilled, and when Hairston got HBP in the ninth, he was saying "Why? Why?" Hawk was flipping out saying how Hairston should know better and shouldn't be asking "why?"

I had heard that when he played here at SIU he was a very cocky dude. To the point of being an asshole. Don't know how true it is though.
