I got into the health thing of late and am going to run the shamrock shuffle. Has anyone ran this event and what can I expect?

Never heard of it, but good luck to you.

I havent ran consistently since I tore tendons in my left ankle back in August. Takes forever to heal.

I am running the Lake Shore Marathon May 30, I unfortunately am dealing with shin splints right now, which sucks. But definately not as bad as torn tendons

If this is your first road race, have fun and enjoy the sites. Unless you are a top college runner, grab a spot in the back and force yourself to go out slow for the first mile or two (I assume this is a 10k). Then spend the next 4 miles passing people and saying hello.

Save the racing for down the road.
