KipWellsFan
Also Canada is now likely to use the same rules on Americans coming in, in the future. http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/20...orts050405.html I don't like the headline, saying we are "retaliating". TheBigHurt35
QUOTE(winodj @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) Its much tighter in Windsor. I almost didn't get let back in to the States because I didn't have my birth certificate with me, this law was changed and enforced in 2002, 2003. That's interesting. I drove back through Windsor on the six-month anniversary of 9/11 with a Palestinian in my front passenger seat and they did absolutely nothing. IIRC, they didn't even ask for our IDs. "Tightened security," my ass. I also had cuban cigars confiscated... by a guy who wanted to obviously smoke them. Should have seen his face when I made them destroy them in front of me. Wow, you've got some balls. I wouldn't dare tell a border patrol guard to do s*** after I've been caught smuggling merchandise across the border. You should consider yourself lucky. KipWellsFan
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 09:31 PM) interesting i drove to and back from canada over my spring break. I was at teh border for under a minute both ways. All they asked was where i was going and why. No checking of birth certificates, nothing. When I entered the US they asked for ids from my dad and I, checked the trunk for dirty bombs and let us go. On our way back into Canada they were just worried about if we had to pay duties on the stuff we got, and he got mad at my dad for not knowing exactly how much we bought, so my dad just said "b****, please" and we sped across the border in our Ferrari.
