White Sox Research Paper

Featured Replies

For my rhet class we had to choose a 'subculture' to write our research paper on, and of course I chose White Sox Fans.

I knew from the start I could use this place to help with my research.

I need help looking for some more sources. Articles will do fine and that's what I'm looking for. I need it to be about 'White sox Fans', either our attitude toward something or mainstream society's attitude on us.

I'm thinking the whole 'sox fans are better than cub fans' article will be a good one.

I've got 2 books from our library that talk about history. One says in 1901, comiskey had 'railroad worker day' and then it goes on to talk about how the blue collar attitude of sox fans is different than any other team.

:cheers

Anybody got any articles that come to mind?

I don't know if those links will work for you or not, but I didn't have a problem researching the Sox. :D

I actually had to do something similar for a class I have right now.

Dude, I know of great place to find that. Let me link it up for you:

You may wish to consider the traditional geographic divide between Cub and Sox fans, then bring into play Chicago history, the stockyards, where immigrants settled, etc. It should make your research easier.

is that a credible source? :P

There is also a ton of information on Whitesoxinteractive...When you're done with your paper, would you care to post the information here?

I will not speak for the credibility of that particular source. Some of the opinions expressed are .... out there. :)
