April 9, 200521 yr Once again I'll say good luck to Mitch Kupchak trying to recruit Yao Ming and Amare Stoudemire in the future.
April 9, 200521 yr QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) Does everyone realize that we're the biggest market in the playoffs this year? It's not going to matter.
April 9, 200521 yr QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:22 AM) It's not going to matter. Da Bulls are going places, and Ben Gordon will lead us there. Oh, and David Stern is rooting for us too, and that was stated on Sports Nite.
April 9, 200521 yr Author QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:21 AM) Does everyone realize that we're the biggest market in the playoffs this year? I still think that most of the basketball world still thinks of Jordan and Pippen and the old days when they think of us. The thing of it is that we dont have any real household names, just a bunch of lunchpail kind of guys that go out and play the game. Not that thats a bad thing. No rape charges, no intra-team fighting, a winning record. Its all good!!!

No rape charges, no intra-team fighting, a winning record. Its all good!!! The fact that NONE of these guys are selfish will lead this group of young men places for YEARS. I give a lot of credit to Scott Skiles in always seeming to be able to utilize the strengths of each player. I think that the additions of Noc and Gordon were the two biggest additions of the season. Gordon's the obvious, but Noc is the heart of the team (IMHO), though he doesn't speak a word to his team very much. Noc never loses energy and is always defending very stingy. I think his experience with Team Argentina is helping us out more than has been mentioned here.
April 9, 200521 yr QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:21 AM) Does everyone realize that we're the biggest market in the playoffs this year? I realized that 2nite Greg anthony on espn was saying how much the league is going to hurt not having NY, LA, or lebron in the playoffs :headshake never mentioned how adding chicago could help. Screw anthony and espn. Why do I still watch?
April 9, 200521 yr QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:29 AM) No way Chicago beats Miami or Detroit in a 7 game series. Book it. Maybe not Miami...But I think Detroit wouldn't be as difficult a task as some would think. We've got the chemistry and the team to do major damage to them.
April 9, 200521 yr Author QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:29 AM) No way Chicago beats Miami or Detroit in a 7 game series. Book it. Tsk Tsk. When the playoffs start all records are 0-0 and anything can happen. The Bulls have a ton of heart and the Pistons or Heat might not take them seriously enough.
April 9, 200521 yr QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:31 AM) I realized that 2nite Greg anthony on espn was saying how much the league is going to hurt not having NY, LA, or lebron in the playoffs :headshake never mentioned how adding chicago could help. Screw anthony and espn. Why do I still watch? Well, on CSN's Sports Nite, they interviewed Stern, and he said he's pulling for our team. I did find it odd that ESPN didn't mention us in there little "blurb" though. I was waiting to hear "but, Chicago's in it, so the ratings won't take as big of a beating," and couldn't believe no mention was made of it. I think the whole Lebron hype is way overrated. Right now, that Cleveland organization is in total disarray that they wouldn't draw very high ratings if they DO make the playoffs. I don't see Cleveland making the playoffs, though, as New Jersey's been too hot down the stretch, and will pass them in a few more days. I do find it weird that Cleveland actually LED us a couple of weeks back...Oh, how the tables have turned. It's great for our Bulls to be going in to the playoffs on a hot streak instead of "backing in," like the Blackhawks did back in 2001-2002. Edited April 9, 200521 yr by BridgeportHeather

The 01-02 Blackhawks were a fluke team, a lot like the 2001 Bears. This team is a young club that has nothing but upside.

No way chicago plays .500 basketball No way they have a winning record in Feb No way They they go on 5 , 7, and 9 game winning streaks this year No way they dont have a losing record vs the west No way they they win without deng No way they get homecourt in the 1st round No way they reach the 3rd best record in the conference Book it. Oh Wait...........................

Our Bulls definateley will have a "nothing to lose, all to gain" attitude come playoff time. Im tired of all the Lebron hype too. All he ever does is whine to the refs for calls all game every game.

Afterall, he won't wanna stay with Cleveland's situation, and he wants to be in the "spotlight." LA is the PERFECT fit for him...
April 9, 200521 yr QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:45 AM) The NBA is still looking for another Jordan.........and not finding one. Lebron May be the best player in the league soon... But Their will never be another MJ. If anything , I think Dwayne wade should be the face of the league.
April 9, 200521 yr QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:45 AM) The NBA is still looking for another Jordan.........and not finding one. Not to compare a rookie to a legend, but Gordon is on his way. His fearless attitude bears striking resemblance of "His Airness."

Afterall, he won't wanna stay with Cleveland's situation, and he wants to be in the "spotlight." LA is the PERFECT fit for him... He most likely will go to a big market. New York -- Over the cap until Lebron is close to 30 Chicago--- Too many young guys of our own to Lock up LA Clips--- I Think not La Lakers-- If he can co exist with kobe... Bingo. Maybe they trade Kobe 1st.
April 9, 200521 yr QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:40 AM) No way they reach the 3rd best record in the conference Which brings up one of the biggest beefs I have with the playoff seedings. Why should Boston be seeded higher than us just because they won their division, when we will finish with a better record than them, DESERVING that #3 seed? Here's what I'm thinking...Guarantee all division winners a playoff spot; but, seed them according to their records!

You have to Love Ben. He never complains about coming off the bench. Ever. No matter ho successful he is becoming. True team Player.
