April 16, 200322 yr umm, because Royals were there. tonight, they were on the field and it once against happened on their side of the field. last time, it happened right in front of their bench and happend to their coach. can't really blame the sox, just the jackass fans. kudos to Berger and Sweeney though.

April 16, 200322 yr last year's attack happened at first base. Paul Konerko was walking/looking the other way and Willie Harris was dumbfounded. outside of them, no Sox players were in sight. this year, the Royals were on the field and once again, it happend by their dugout.

Not that anyone really needed to help that ump wooped the s*** out of him. Did he make a questionable call or anything to provoke it?
April 16, 200322 yr the ump is an ex marine..wrong guy to pick on wonder what carlos was doing on that..the whole situation should have developed right in front of his eye..it would be nice if one of our players did manage to get over there next time , and there will be a next time , bank on it, and help kick some ass...just for show if anything else
April 16, 200322 yr Yes, it was closer to the KC bench, hence they were out there first. Why Sweeney didn't pummel the guy, i don't know. i was shocked to see him refrain from swinging at the guy. And why is it that rick white of all people is the first guy at the scene? Were the rest of the sox walking? LOL.
April 16, 200322 yr rick white used to be a bouncer to supplement his minor league income..he is not afraid to mix it up...as for carlos...well if he fights like he hits a baseball then i guess him running over there from 1st base really wouldnt have mattered

The Sox dugout DID clear on this last incident. They were just much further away than the Royals were. But they did go out to TRY to help.
