April 17, 200521 yr BARONS 8 Montgomery 1 W-Meaux L-Parker Pacheco 2.2 IP 7H 1R 2BB 2 K's Switzer 3.2 IP 2H 1R 2BB 2K's Good- Solid hitting continues, drawing walks, clutch hits. Chris Stewart hit a towering 3 run Home Run and continues to throw out runners and call a great game behind the plate. Rogowski Drilled a double high of the 410 sign in CF then even though I am not big on paybacks but after having both Andy Gonzalez and Josh Feilds hit by pitches; Takes out Montgomery Catcher Charoin Issenia and sent Momtgomery a message and after that Barons scored the next 7 to coast to win. Ryan Meaux was outstanding with a devasting Breaking Ball over 3 1/3 Innings Meaux K'ed 7 walked 0 and picked up the win. Willie Glen Threw 2 shoutout innings with 5 K's. Bad- Nothing except Ryan Sweeney looked like he pulled a hamstring rounding 1st with what would have been a sure Triple. Pacheco left in the 3rd with what looks like a shoulder injury. Barons look for Sweep of 1st Place Montgomery tomorrow
April 17, 200521 yr Author I moved your Barons game thread into here because it's repetitive. From now on you can just post your recaps and such in the day's game thread please. We don't need two threads with the same info. As for the games, Charlotte lost 10-5. Villacis and Smith didn't do so well tonight. Sanders did pitch well out of the pen though. Martinez, Anderson, Bikowski, and Casanova each had 2 hits. Anderson is hitting .296 right now, not a bad start. Meanwhile, Lopez, Borchard, and Burke are all below the Mendoza Line. Box Score Barons Box Score Ryan Rodriguez led the Warthogs to an 8-4 victory. Valido is still rolling, 2-5, 2B, 3B, 2 runs, .333 on season. Amador went 3-4 with a HR. 2 hits each for Hinton and Collaro (HR). Rodriguez went 6 IP, 2 R, 5 K, 2 BB, 6 hits. Box Score Kanny managed 9 hits and only 1 run in their 3-1 loss. They squandered bases loaded, 1 out in the 1st. They had 10 runners in scoring position, 1 scored. Corpseball at it's finest. :headshake Berry had 2 hits and De Los Santos had 3.
