Sox turning tables on the Twins?

No way should the sox have won Monday's game. The sox were far from perfect, and struggled. They had 7 hits and 0 walks, and had only 1 man LOB. The twins had 9 hits and 7 walks, with 10 men LOB. The Sox had shaky outing from Jose, and taxed the bullpen a bit.

This was always the most annoying aspect about the Twins--they won games in which they played crappy yet still found a way to pull it out. Meanwhile, the sox had to play nearly flawless baseball just to eke out a win. This always clear when the two teams played head to head.

This yr though, the Sox are winning games they shouldn't. With the offense really struggling [only Iguchi and Everett are exceeding expectations, with most everyone far below career avgs], the sox shouldn't be 9-4.

As long as the Sox continue to play mostly mistake free baseball [which they should, the sox defense and pitching has improved to where they won't hurt themselves too often--Contreras maybe being the exception :D], they should contend all yr for the Central and the wild card. The offense is bound to step it up and be more consistent. We know the power is there. The walks and hits will come soon.

You're totally right on that one. Yesterday during that real bad 5th inning I was jumping up and down screaming at my computer listening to and seeing Contrereas and the boys make 1 f*** up after the next. That must have been really comical from the Twins standpoint but for me it was gut wrenching.

I still have to give the boys props for battling their way out of trouble and winning the game even though Chop Suey served up a fat one in the 9th inning to cause yet more drama.

Winning 1 run games is great but how bout a blowout every now and again.........

PLEASE!!!!!

We got a chance to really bury the Royals and Tigers this week and we need to take full advantage of these weak ass teams.

The Sox will show some of what they're made of if they can beat [hopefully convincingly] the teams they're supposed to beat. The 3-2 games should be 6-2 as these weak teams make more mistakes than the Twins and Indians.

I fear for september to face the twins and especially the indians... these wins may not happen in sept...

The sox are winning these games despite being one of the worst hitting teams in the league. With a healthy Frank at the 3 spot, with the other guys hitting near their career avgs, I fear what this team may look like once the offense gets in gear--scary

The sox have played decent teams who haven't made a lot of mistakes [errors, walking hitters, bone head plays, etc]. Sea, Cle. and the twins are all in the top 5 in pitching and haven't kicked the ball around. The Sox should be able to get some leads on the weaker teams.

And the name is Shingo.

The Indians will be dead and buried by August.....Book it.

i dont know about that, the indians aer in the same boat as us....they have had tremendous pitching, and poor offense. wait until that offense starts to click (which is a more potent offense than ours) and they could be good if that pitching keeps up

Dear Mr. Nuke Cleveland,

If your going to try and be funny with a racial stereo type, try to use one that applies. Chop Suey is an Americanized version of a Chinese dish, Shingo Takatsu is Japanese.

Perhaps a reference to sushi would fullfill your needs. My advice is to leave humor to the professionals.
