April 20, 200521 yr As reported by ESPN and other media outlets, the Niners have locked in on Alex Smith and barring any contractual issues, want to make him their #1 overall selection. This is very impportant for a number of reasons, the most important of those being: Who knows how far Aaron Rodgers will now fall? Do the Browns care to make him the QB of the future with the #3 overall selection. If not, will it be the Cardinals, who really don't want to burn that first round selection on a QB? Rodgers may end up falling deep into the first round; wreeking havoc with mocks and building up the hopes of multipul gm's.
April 20, 200521 yr And after seeing the list of Tedford QBs I know I got a little scared of Rodgers myself. I sure hope the Bears aren't thinking about him. Maybe they can get a trade done with someone who wants him, and get some more picks and quality players.
