Niners Lock In On Their QB

Featured Replies

As reported by ESPN and other media outlets, the Niners have locked in on Alex Smith and barring any contractual issues, want to make him their #1 overall selection.

This is very impportant for a number of reasons, the most important of those being:

Who knows how far Aaron Rodgers will now fall? Do the Browns care to make him the QB of the future with the #3 overall selection. If not, will it be the Cardinals, who really don't want to burn that first round selection on a QB? Rodgers may end up falling deep into the first round; wreeking havoc with mocks and building up the hopes of multipul gm's.

And after seeing the list of Tedford QBs I know I got a little scared of Rodgers myself. I sure hope the Bears aren't thinking about him. Maybe they can get a trade done with someone who wants him, and get some more picks and quality players.

The Titans will probably snag him at #6.
