White Sox signed RHP John Stephens to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Charlotte.

Stephens was released by the Red Sox after making one start for Triple-A Pawtucket. He has more of a chance of getting back to the majors with the White Sox, but it still doesn't look good for the soft-tossing 25-year-old.
