"Stuck on the Sox"

We were out garage saleing this weekend, looking for some baby furnature, when as I was looking through a pile of 25 cent books, I found this book. I don't know if anyone has ever heard of it before, but it is a little paperback book, almost 200 pages, that has all kinds of fun info and stories from Sox history. The book was copyrighted in 1978, but focuses mostly on the 60's and earlier.

If anyone ever sees it, it is worth picking up if you are a collector of baseball books and/or White Sox memorablia.

One fun quote I found in there was this,

"Working with Harry Carry must rank with flying a helicopter in Viet Nam(sic)"

This is his website...

I bought it when it first came out after the exciting south side hit men 1977 season. Lindberg has greatly improved upon what was then a hopelessly juvenile campy writing style. He's not only the most authoritative historian of the White Sox, but he's on his way to becoming the most famous chronicler ever of Chicago history. I'm jealous. I wanted to be Rich Lindberg when I grew up.
