MLB TV

Featured Replies

I know this may have been posted before, but anyone know how to get in-market games using MLB.TV? If so, can I do it with firefox? Thanks.

It involves stayinvisible.com somehow, but I'm not too sure after that.

Pisses me off that this game isn't on Extra Innings....

Basically, this is what I was told you do.

1)Go to stayinvisible.com and get a proxy(still in the US) and the port # that goes with it.

2)copy that in notepad

3)close all your browsers and sign out

4)go to controlpanel>network and internet connections> internet options> connections > lan settings >

5)uncheck the first two options and check the 3rd option and uncheck bypass proxy server

6)copy and paste the proxy number in the first box(ie 65.23.14.21) and put the port number where it says port:

7)click ok on everything and connect back to the internet

8)go to mlb.tv and it is supposed to work, but it never worked for me honestly.

I got it working, thank you so much....

Is the game not being broadcast in Chicago? I'm watching it on MLB.com and it says "Sox Net" to the right of the score on the screen. Does that mean the game is only available on-line? What's the story with that?

I believe it's a U game

What does that mean?

By the way, it's hysterical hearing Hawk going on and on about this play at the plate in between innings when he's not technically on the air. He definitely has a point that the ump was out of position, but he roots too much (stating the obvious). :-)

A channel...WCIU...it's just a Chicago channel.

Thanks! As I have mentioned before, I'm a NY'er who adopted the Sox over the last year or so while I've been traveling to Chicago a lot. So please excuse the ignorance of certain obvious facts...

The WCIU deal perpetually plagues us out of towners because it is an exclusive broadcast (mlbTV notwithstanding). So those are games you can't get in the Extra Innings cable package. Kind of like how ESPN's Sunday evening exclusive broadcast rights screws it up for out of market viewers.

I'll also be SOL for the Rays series' because I'm supposedly in the local market for those even though here 3 hours away from St. Pete I can't pick up Rays broadcasts to save my life.

At least I'll make the trip over there for the afternoon game in that series.
