Frank Thomas was in Mr. Baseball with Tom Selleck.

The Longest Yard and Bull Durham are classics in my book. But the best sports movie has to be Rocky. It won an Oscar for best picture.

And there is always the movie about our ex-broadcaster, Jimmy Piersall... Fear Strikes Out. LOL

I can't believe no one has mentioned Brian's Song.

cwsox: They mentione Royce but he really wasn't the batter in the movie. BTW, Clayton was in another mobie but I dont remember which one.

And, what about Base-ketball? That movie was stupid but funny! And Field of Dreams has been on TNT like 10 days in a row! But, I love how the Baseball Tonight guys made the reinactment of it when Harold Reynolds says: "The people wil come, Ray. The people will most definitely come."

Clayton was the batter announced - and if that wasn't Royce, the actor looked a lot like him. It would make sense either way. An actor playing Clayton could K as well as Clayton.

I remember Frank Thomas in Mr. Baseball. Even though it didn't show his face, I could tell it was Frank by the way he was hitting. :headbang
