I was listening to the news on NPR this morning (maybe around 8:45 or so - eastern time) and Frank Deford did a little piece on the White Sox. It was his take on the Sox's alternate nickname "The Pale Hose" which he called the best alternate nickname in sports. It's nothing special, but it was kind of amusing.
