When Randy Johnson has an ERA of 8.31 and the Cubs are first in their division.

The Expos are still in first place.

Aren't they always in first place throughout April? Maybe it just seems that way.

Their Montreal fans are finally showing up after their success in San Juan. :canada

I don't think the San Juan thing is that great. They've only been getting about 12k the past few games.

As opposed to the 6,000 a night they were getting in MTL

Didn't they get like 30,000 plus yesterday in Montreal. Maybe I heard things wrong though.

It is openning weekend in MTL. Talk to me in August, if the Spos fall out of contention. They had crowds of under 5K a few times last year a few times.

They had about 37000 for the opener this year, about the same as last year. Last year in game 2 they got 4700 out, I'm not sure about tonight. If they played at Jerry park for all of their games they would sell out every game. (About 13000 I would guess). The football team in Montreal used to draw 5000 at the big O, since movie to the University stadium they have sold out every game for 5 years(15000 I think). This team isn't put on T.V. and they lose there best players every year despite being quite competitive in a brutally hard division. Fans are not the problem in Montreal.....the stadium and the ownership is.
