June 1, 200520 yr I've always thought that fans should only vote for the top 5 players in each League. That way, the 5 most popular players in each league would start and that would free up more room for deserving players.

June 2, 200520 yr Just to show how rediculous the all star voting is: -Iguchi is not in the top 5 - Thomas is in the top 5 at DH even though he only has like 3 official AB's - Dye is in the top 15 outfielders - Nomar Garciaparra is 1st at SS and hes been injured for most of the season - Piazza is leading NL catchers You can vote like a billion times, and everyone at the ballparks just stuff it with familiar names.

The All-Star game has become a joke. I can't believe World Series homefield advantage is decided by this travesty.
