October 16, 200223 yr I think you see the A-rod effect on the sox w/o frank. I think the Yankees could sign him And have him DH, but then Nic Johnson is out of the picture..... Maybe Te BoSox bite, or the Bravos....... I dunno I just wanna see him leave.
October 16, 200223 yr Yankees would be tough. They were not happy with Giambi's D, he might move to DH. But we'll see what happens there. Boston would be an option fo sho.
October 16, 200223 yr Boston and Minnesota are both very legitimate options and I could also see a team like the Dray make a push at him or even the Mariners if they feel that Edgar is done.

No. Pohlad is a cheap ass, he won't pay Thomas. Mariners yeah, but they play in a huge park, so the big man may not go for that.
October 16, 200223 yr Mariners are very possible..... hmmmmm I think it all depends on Edgar. I'm not so sure that the D-rays spend ANY money, but I'd like to see him atleast leave the division... If possible.
October 16, 200223 yr Well if the A's keep Ray Ray then I'd say no. The Orioles definately could use him, but I doubt they go for him cause they are looking for younger players. He could be a good fit for the Tigers who absolutely suck, but I just don't see him going there.
October 16, 200223 yr I think that Ray is alot more versitile than Frank, but I think That Frank is more of a offensive force....... eh I just hope that some morons take this headcase off our hands.
October 16, 200223 yr Personally I think Ray would be an awesome Dh because of all the speed, run scoring, and gap hits he has. Of course Thomas is an offensive machine when on.
October 16, 200223 yr either way he still gets paid from us which doesnt save us any money......may as well make him work for some of it here huh???? jmho

I think the Bottom Line is Carlos Lee = Younger Bigger Upside that Frank, and can play DH.

October 16, 200223 yr Isn't he off the payroll no matter what right now? We finished paying his final year of the contract.
October 16, 200223 yr Originally posted by ChisoxfnIsn't he off the payroll no matter what right now? We finished paying his final year of the contract. Well, since the season is over, yes. But he still has four years left on the deal. He has a window to talk with other teams.
October 16, 200223 yr Frank gone = BOOYA! sox 2003 Central Champs.... ALCS lose to skankers. 2004 WS CHAMPIONS Carlos Lee WS MVP.
October 16, 200223 yr Are you serious? I never knew that, I thought Ray was just a unrestricted free agent. So if he doesn't find anyone during that window does that mean he's back with the Sox?

October 16, 200223 yr See, I have that problem where I only read part of the posts and since we were talking about Ray I just assumed thats what we were still talking about.
October 16, 200223 yr You all act like cub fans the way you treat Frank. You completely underestimate him.

Frank has outlived his welcome unfortunately, no bodies fault but his own. If he acted the way a professional should he could have been embraced and loved by this town the way MJ was... well to a lesser degree.
